Edward (Edvardus) Chew was the son of Thomas Chew and ?????? ??????.

Edward was born around 1627 in Paythorne, Gisburn, Yorkshire.

He was christened at Whalley, Lancashire on 19th March 1627-28.

Edward married Ellin (Helena) Chew in 1656 in Blackburn, Lancashire on 26th May 1656.

He had the following children from his marriage to Ellin (Helena) Chew:

- Thomas Chew	born in 1659 in Paythorne, Gisburn, Yorkshire on 11th February 1659.
- Jenet Chew	born in 1663.
- Richard Chew	born in 1666.
- Ellen Chew	born in 1668.
- James Chew	born in 1669.
- Ellen Chew	born in 1671.
- Elizabetha Chew	born in 1672.
- Edward (Edvardus) Chew	born around 1676.

Details of Edward's occupation are not known.

Edward died in 1706.  

He was buried in Arnoldsbigging, Gisburn, Yorkshire on 5th October 1706.
