Edward (Edvardus) Chew was the son of Edward (Edvardus) Chew and Ellin (Helena) Chew.

Edward was born around 1676.

He was christened at Gisburn, Yorkshire on 24th September 1676.

Edward married Alice Townley in 1701 in Langho Chapel, Lancashire on 9th February 1701.

He had the following children from his marriage to Alice Townley:

- Edward Chew	born in 1703 in Langho, Lancashire.
- Jenet Chew	born around 1705.
- Abraham Chew	born around 1708.
- Richard Chew	born in 1710.
- Elizabeth Chew	born in 1712.
- James Chew	born in 1713.

Details of Edward's occupation are not known.

Edward died when he was about 67 years old, in 1743 in Blackburn, Lancashire on 15th April 1743.
