Emma Wing was the daughter of Thomas Wing and Mary Ann Fountain.

Emma was born in 1832 in Shenley, Hertfordshire.

She was christened on Sunday 16 September 1832 at London Colney, St Albans, Hertfordshire.

Emma married Henry Townsend in 1855 in the Marylebone Registration District.

She had the following children from her marriage to Henry Townsend:
