Florence Whistance (Floss) Greenhough was the daughter of Richard Greenhough and Mary Whistance.

Floss was born on Friday 2 January 1903.

She was christened on Sunday 1 February 1903.

Floss married Claude Augustus (Gus) Phillips on Sunday 5 February 1922 in St Pauls Church, Wednesbury, Staffordshire.
The witnesses at the marriage were Alf D. Greenhough and Muriel Phillips.

She had the following children from her marriage to Claude Augustus (Gus) Phillips:

- Edwin Sydney Phillips	born on 19 November 1925.
