Richard Greenhough was the son of Francis Greenhough and Lucy Weston.

Richard was born on Monday 25 December 1871 in 49, Meeting Street, Wednesbury, Staffordshire.

He was christened on Tuesday 21 April 1874.

Richard married Mary Whistance on Monday 29 July 1895 in St James Church, Wednesbury, Staffordshire.
The witnesses at the marriage were Jabez Whistance (Mary's father) and Ada Gertrude Greenhough (Richard's sister).
Richard was 23 years old and Mary was 20 years old when they married.
