Lizzie was born on Sunday 1 January 1860 in Eggberry House, Easington, Yorkshire.

Lizzie married George Chew on Thursday 11 May 1882 in the Independent Chapel, Oak Street, Accrington, Lancashire.
The witnesses at the marriage were Henry Frankland (Elizabeth's brother) and Hannah Frankland (Elizabeth's sister-in-law).
Lizzie was 22 years old and George was 23 years old when they married.
