a
Ship's Carpenter and Soldier.
Walter died
when
he

about
88

around

He wasn't very well after his wife died, and when he got a bit better, he went to live with his wife's niece, Hilda Harris (nee Worthy). He later went into a Home to be looked after.
It is thought that Lawn Cottage was on land owned by the Parker family, who were in some way connected to Tate and Lyle sugar manufacturers and that the land was called "The Plantation". Evelyn Stuart Parker, born 22/06/1869, was the owner and the address was The Lawn, 23 Mersey Road, Aigburth, which was situated near to the corner of Alma Road. It is not known why Walter and Lizzie occupied Alma Cottage unless they were employed there.
