Jane Elizabeth Robinson was the daughter of Uvin Porter Robinson and Alice Bleazard.

Jane was born on Monday 3 March 1856 in Penmaenmawr, Caernarvon, Wales.

Jane married Richard Helm Turner on Thursday 12 February 1874 in the Parish Church, Bolton by Bowland, Yorkshire.
The witnesses at the marriage were Richard Taylor and Mary Ann Robinson.

She had the following children from her marriage to Richard Helm Turner:

- Frederick Turner	born around 1874 in Bolton by Bowland, Yorkshire.
- Henry Porter Turner	born around 1876 in Waddington, Yorkshire.

Jane's second marriage was to Thomas Carr on Saturday 15 October 1898 in St Mary's Church Sunday School, Clitheroe, Lancashire.
The witnesses at the marriage were Joseph Bond and John Thomas Whitehead.
