Thomas Walter (Tom) Lavender was the son of Thomas James Lavender and Emma Elizabeth Spittle Stevens.

Tom was born on Tuesday 6 August 1889 in Wednesbury, Staffordshire.

Tom married Gertrude May Wilson on Saturday 30 October 1915.

He had the following children from his marriage to Gertrude May Wilson:

- Anthony Wilson (Tony) Lavender	born on 17 August 1916.
- John Alan Lavender	born on 9 September 1920.
- Thomas Barrie Lavender	born on 8 October 1924.

Details of Tom's occupation are not known.

Tom died when he was 39 years old, on Tuesday 4 December 1928.
