Walter James Thomas was the son of John Thomas and Annie Elizabeth Ambrose.

Walter was born on Friday 29 April 1887 in 90, Oxford Street, St Helens, Lancashire.

Walter married Keitha Lilian Garner on Saturday 9 October 1915 in St Augustine's Church, Edgbaston, Birmingham.
The witnesses at the marriage were John Thomas (Walter's father), Edith J. Garner (Keitha's sister) and Herbert Garner (Keitha's father).
Walter was 28 years old and Keitha was 30 years old when they married.

On the 1939 Census, he was an Automotive Engine Designer.

Walter died when he was 68 years old, on Friday 21 October 1955 in Warneford Hospital, Leamington, Warwickshire.   The cause of his death was Carcinoma of the lung.   H.D.Thomas (his brother) was the informant of his death.
