Delia Constance Chatterton was the daughter of John William Chatterton and Kate Florence Hale.

Delia was born on Wednesday 23 June 1915.

Delia married Roland Walter Dennis Newman on Saturday 22 March 1947.

She had the following children from her marriage to Roland Walter Dennis Newman:

- Roger Holmes Chatterton-Newman	born in 1949 (date suppressed).
- Nigel John Gossage Chatterton-Newman	born in 1952 (date suppressed).

Delia died when she was 85 years old, on Thursday 21 September 2000.  

She served in the Royal Artillery / ATS from 1941 to 1945.
