Charles Bolton Cundall was the son of James Cundall and Emma Elizabeth Bolton.

Charles was born around 1891 in Low Ray Carr, Kirkby Malzeard, near Ripon, North Yorkshire.

He was christened on Sunday 19 July 1891 at St Peters Church, Dallowgill, Kirkby Malzeard, near Ripon, North Yorkshire.

Charles married Alice Mary Jackson in 1920 in the Ripon Registration District (Jun. quarter).

He had the following children from his marriage to Alice Mary Jackson:

Charles died when he was 72 years old, on Wednesday 24 June 1964 in Ripon and District Hospital, Ripon, Yorkshire.  

He was buried in 1964 in St Andrews Church, Kirkby Malzeard, near Ripon, North Yorkshire (Plot 165 in the Cemetery).

His gravestone has the following inscription:

In loving memory of Charles Bolton Cundall, died 24 June 1964 age 72.
Beloved wife, Alice Mary, died 17 November 1970 age 79.
