James Norman (Jim) Lavender was the son of Thomas James Lavender and Emma Elizabeth Spittle Stevens.

Jim was born on Monday 26 March 1877 in Wednesbury, Staffordshire.

Jim married Eliza Jane (Jenny) Tippin in 1907 in Walsall, Staffordshire.

He had the following children from his marriage to Eliza Jane (Jenny) Tippin:

- James Norman Lavender	born on 8 September 1907 in Wednesbury, Staffordshire.
- Alan Eric Lavender	born on 20 February 1910 in Wednesbury, Staffordshire.

Jim was a Clerk.

Jim died when he was about 34 years old, in 1911.
