Sarah Wing was the daughter of Thomas Wing and Mary Ann Fountain.

Sarah was born around 1837 in Shenley, Hertfordshire.

She was christened on Sunday 20 May 1838 at London Colney, St Albans, Hertfordshire.

Sarah married George Timberlake on Wednesday 11 August 1858 in Aldenham, Watford, Hertfordshire.

She had the following children from her marriage to George Timberlake:

- Elizabeth Timberlake	born in 1859 in Harpendon, St Albans, Hertfordshire.
- Sarah Timberlake	born around 1863 in Harpendon, St Albans, Hertfordshire.
- Mary Ann Timberlake	born around 1867 in Harpendon, St Albans, Hertfordshire.

Sarah's second marriage was to Nathaniel Godfrey in 1875 in the Watford Registration District.
