George Thomas Spittle was the son of Frederick Spittle and Elizabeth Hartill.

George was born around 1872 in Wednesbury, Staffordshire.

George married Gertrude Mary Jones in 1895 in West Bromwich Registratiuon District, Staffordshire.

He had the following children from his marriage to Gertrude Mary Jones:

- Millicent J. Spittle	born around 1897 at Wednesbury, Staffordshire.
- Vera Kathleen Spittle	born on 12 March 1904.

George was a Commercial Clerk.
