Margaret Moffat (Peggy) Bell was born on Tuesday 27 April 1920 in Canonbie, Dumfries.

Peggy married Jeffrey (Jeff) Sunderland on Saturday 5 January 1946 in Langholm, Dumfries.

She had the following children from her marriage to Jeffrey (Jeff) Sunderland:

- Hazel Mary Sunderland	born in 1947 at Littleborough.
- David Sunderland	born in 1950.
- Alan Sunderland	born in 1952.

Peggy died when she was about 78 years old, in 1998 in Queniborough, Leicestershire.
