Lilian Richardson was born on Friday 15 August 1884 in Worsley, Lancashire.

Lilian married David William Sunderland on Wednesday 17 June 1908 in Barton-upon-Irwell.

She had the following children from her marriage to David William Sunderland:

- Harry Sunderland	born around 1909.
- Winifred Sunderland	born in 1911.
- Jeffrey (Jeff) Sunderland	born on 17 January 1923 in Rochdale, Lancashire.

Lilian died when she was about 73 years old, in 1857 in Rochdale, Lancashire.
