Edward George Robert Fairholme was born on Friday 7 November 1873 in London.

Edward married Eleanor Chew in 1903 in the Nantwich Registration District (Sep Quarter).

He had the following children from his marriage to Eleanor Chew:

- Rosemary Grace Fairholme	born on 15 July 1904 at Chelsea, London.
- Ian William Forbes Fairholme	born on 25 September 1907 at Audlem, Nantwich, Cheshire.
- Elisabeth Carola Fairholme	born on 5 December 1910 at Kensington, London.

Edward was a Chiel Secretary of Royal Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.

Edward died when he was 83 years old, on Friday 6 January 1956 in Woodbery House, Frinton-on-Sea, Essex.  

He had an O.B.E.
