Eleanor Chew was the daughter of William Lawrence Chew and Fanny Rowe Ball Pellow.

Eleanor was born on Wednesday 13 November 1872 in Broughton, Lancashire.

Eleanor married Edward George Robert Fairholme in 1903 in the Nantwich Registration District (Sep Quarter).

She had the following children from her marriage to Edward George Robert Fairholme:

- Rosemary Grace Fairholme	born on 15 July 1904 at Chelsea, London.
- Ian William Forbes Fairholme	born on 25 September 1907 at Audlem, Nantwich, Cheshire.
- Elisabeth Carola Fairholme	born on 5 December 1910 at Kensington, London.

Eleanor died when she was 67 years old, in 1940 in Burkes Corner, Aylesbury End, Beaconfield, Buckinghamshire.
