Ellen Eastwood was the daughter of William Cleg Eastwood and Nancy Haywood.

Ellen was born in 1805 in Sawley, Yorkshire.

She was christened on Sunday 8 December 1805 at Bolton by Bowland, Yorkshire.

Ellen married Henry Frankland on Sunday 26 December 1824 in Waddington, Yorkshire.

She had the following children from her marriage to Henry Frankland:

- William Frankland	born in 1827.
- Anne Frankland	born in 1829 in Grindleton, Yorkshire.
