Jane Robinson was the daughter of Seth Robinson and Ellen Brennand.

Jane was born around 1849 in Newton, Slaidburn, Yorkshire.

Jane married James Wood on Thursday 12 November 1874 in St Andrew's Church, Slaidburn, Yorkshire.
The witnesses at the marriage were Robert Wood and Anne Robinson.

She had the following children from her marriage to James Wood:

- John Robinson Wood	born around 1875 in Slaidburn, Yorkshire.
- Fred Wood	born around 1876 in Slaidburn, Yorkshire.
- Thomas (Tom) Wood	born around 1877 in Slaidburn, Yorkshire.
- Elizabeth Wood	born around 1879 in Slaidburn, Yorkshire.
- Margaret Wood	born around 1882 in Slaidburn, Yorkshire.

Jane died when she was 32 years old, on Sunday 9 July 1882.
