Margaret Burrill was the daughter of William John Burrill and Kate King.

Margaret was born on Monday 1 February 1897 in Swetton, Dallowgill, Kirkby Malzeard, near Ripon, North Yorkshire.

She was christened on Sunday 16 January 1898 at St Peters Church, Dallowgill, Kirkby Malzeard, near Ripon, North Yorkshire.

Margaret married Wilfrid Trenholme in 1932 in the Ripon Registration District (Mar Qtr).

She had the following children from her marriage to Wilfrid Trenholme:

- Evelyn Kate Trenholme	born in 1933 at the Ripon Registration District (Jun quarter).
- William Malcolm Trenholme	born in 1936 at the Ripon Registration District (Sep quarter).
