Michael Gordon Howard Thomas is the son of Gordon David Thomas and Mary Lavender Greenhough.

Michael was born in 1958 (date suppressed) in a nursing home at 66 South Road, Smethwick, Birmingham.

He was christened at St Peter's Church, Harborne, Birmingham.
