William (Will) Mayor was the son of Robert Mayor and Margaret Taylor.

Will was born around 1840 in Burscough, Lancashire.

Will married Jane Turner Ambrose on Saturday 4 April 1863 in New Independent Chapel, St Helens, Lancashire.
The witnesses at the marriage were Joseph Ambrose (Jane's Brother) and Elizabeth Rigby.
Will was 23 years old and Jane was 23 years old when they married.
