Herbert Ivor Bimson was the son of Arthur Bimson and Edith Berry.

Herbert was born on Friday 6 March 1914 in Northwich, Cheshire.

Herbert married Margaret Wilson on Sunday 8 September 1946 in Northwich, Cheshire.

He had the following children from his marriage to Margaret Wilson:

- Jane Bimson	born in 1947 (date suppressed) in Douglas, Isle of Man.
- Juan Ivor Bimson	born in 1952 (date suppressed) in Douglas, Isle of Man.
- Mark Anthony Bimson	born in 1960 (date suppressed) in Douglas, Isle of Man.

Details of Herbert's occupation are not known.

Herbert died when he was 58 years old, on Thursday 31 August 1972 in Liverpool, Lancashire.  

He was buried in Abbeylands, Isle of Man.
