Charles Greenhough was the son of James Greenhough and Mary Tunnicliffe.

Charles was born in 1843 in Uttoxeter, Staffordshire.

Charles married Rosanna Hunt on Monday 9 April 1866 in St Peter's Church, Birmingham, Warwickshire.
The witnesses at the marriage were Richard Jarvis and Mary Ann Jarvis.
