Matthew Henry Watkins was the son of Matthew Watkins and Emma Cole.

Matthew was born on Sunday 8 December 1839 in Shrewsbury, Shropshire.

He was christened on Thursday 9 January 1840 at St Chad's Church, Shrewsbury, Shropshire.

Matthew died on Thursday 8 October 1840.
