Jack

Jack died
when
he
was
68
years old,
on Saturday 1 June 1968.
From 1917 to 1924, he worked in Bookkeeping and Engineering at Samuel Platts in Darlaston. During 1917 and 1918, whilst he was at Platts, he attended a one year Engineering course at the County Metallurgical and Engineering Institute, Wednesbury and obtained a First in Calculations and Drawing, and also in Engineering Science and Elementary Metal Work. He also served in World War I, but was discharged on medical grounds.
