Mary Stevens was born around 1770.

Mary married Thomas Gardner Cox on Tuesday 22 February 1791 in St Helen's Church, Abingdon, Oxfordshire.

She had the following children from her marriage to Thomas Gardner Cox:

- John Cox	born around 1791.
- Thomas Ipsley Cox	born around 1793 in Abingdon, Berkshire.
- Richard Cox	born around 1800 in Abingdon, Berkshire.

Mary died when she was 72 years old, in 1842 in Stow-on-the-Wold, Gloucestershire.  

She was buried on Monday 7 February 1842 in St Edward's KC, Stow-on-the-Wold, Gloucestershire.
