Eliza Lucy Spittle was the daughter of John Spittle and Eliza Elizabeth Ilsley.

Eliza was born on Saturday 19 September 1846.

She was christened on Sunday 14 June 1857 at St George's Church, Birmingham, Warwickshire.

Eliza married Johnson William Hale in 1875.

She had the following children from her marriage to Johnson William Hale:
