Lewis Burrill was the son of John William Burrill and Margaret Ellen King.

Lewis was born on Friday 30 January 1891 in Bolton, Bradford, Yorkshire.

Lewis married Winifred Hannah Corner in 1914 in the Ripon Registration District (Jun Qtr).

His gravestone has the following inscription:
