George Jennings was the son of William Jennings and Barbara Thorpe.

George was born on Wednesday 20 September 1820 in Rothwell, Leeds, Yorkshire.

George married Mary Woodhead on Monday 25 May 1846 in the Parish Church, Leeds, Yorkshire.
The witnesses at the marriage were John Halls and Elizabeth Woodhead.
