Sarah Ann Lavender was the daughter of Arthur Josiah (Joseph) Lavender and Harriet Simpson.

Sarah was born on Sunday 12 December 1886 in Mansfield, Derbyshire.

Sarah married Harold Thomas Lee on Monday 16 April 1906 in Swinton, Yorkshire.

She had the following children from her marriage to Harold Thomas Lee:

- Eric Willliam Lee	born in 1906 at Swinton, Yorkshire.
- Margaret May Lee	born in 1910 at Swinton, Yorkshire.
- Arthur J. Lee	born in 1913 in Rotherham, Yorkshire.

Sarah died when she was 67 years old, on Thursday 11 March 1954.
