Walter Reginald Holmes was the son of Jesse Holmes and Frances (Fanny) Mills.

Reginald was born on Tuesday 24 June 1884 in Waltham, Great Grimsby, Lincolnshire.

Reginald married Rosetta Gladding in 1903 in the Grimsby Registration District (Dec Qtr).
