George William Whistance was the son of Richard William Michael Whistance and Caroline Smith Potter.

William was born in 1916.

William married Dorothy Joan Clarke in 1945.

He had the following children from his marriage to Dorothy Joan Clarke:

- Stuart Keith Whistance	born in 1944 at West Bromwich, Staffordshire.
- Ian Harvey Whistance	born in 1946 at West Bromwich, Staffordshire.
- Neil William Whistance	born in 1947 at West Bromwich, Staffordshire.
- Clive Dane Whistance	born in 1952 at Australia.
- Joan Dorothy Whistance	born in 1953 at Australia.

Details of William's occupation are not known.

William died when he was about 65 years old, in 1981.
