Mary was born on Tuesday 16 January 1877 in Cragg, Foulridge, Colne, Lancashire.

Mary married John Wilkinson on Sunday 12 June 1898 in St James's Church, Clitheroe, Lancashire.
The witnesses at the marriage were Isaac Cundall (Mary's brother) and Martha Ann Cundall (Mary's sister-in-law).
Mary was 21 years old and John was 24 years old when they married.
