Frederick married Elizabeth Palmer in 1883 in West Browmwich Reg Dist, Staffordshire.

He had the following children from his marriage to Elizabeth Palmer:

- Anne Elizabeth Spittle	born around 1885 at Wednesbury, Staffordshire.
- Herbert Henry Spittle	born around 1890 at Coventry, Warwickshire.

Frederick was a Fitter & Turner.
