John Calvert was the son of William Calvert and ?????? ??????.

John was born around 1831.

John married Margaret Burrill in 1852 in the Ripon Registration District.

He had the following children from his marriage to Margaret Burrill:

- Mary Ann Calvert

born around 1852 in Carlsmoor, Dallowgill, Kirkby Malzeard, near Ripon, North Yorkshire.

John was a Farmer.

John died when he was 22 years old, on Wednesday 27 July 1853.  

His gravestone has the following inscription:

In Memory Of
Isabel wife of John Calvert
of Skellgill who died August 5th
1802, Aged 41 Years
Also
The above named John Calvert
who died at Grantley
October 26th 1846 Aged 88 Years
Also John Calvert, son of
William Calvert of Skellgill
who died July 27th 1853 Aged 22 years
This lovely bud so young and fair
Call'd hence by early doom
Just came to show how sweet a flower
In Paradise would bloom
