Edward Greenhough was the son of Thomas Greenhough and Katherine (Cathrine) Sherratt.

Edward was born around 1703.

He was christened on Saturday 10 March 1703 at Uttoxeter, Staffordshire.

Edward married Hannah Hudson on Saturday 19 April 1732 in Uttoxeter, Staffordshire.

He had the following children from his marriage to Hannah Hudson:

- Mary Greenhough	born around 1735.
- Katherine (Kitty) Greenhough	born around 1736.

Details of Edward's occupation are not known.

Edward died when he was about 68 years old, in 1771 in Uttoxeter, Staffordshire.  

He was buried on Monday 16 September 1771 in Uttoxeter, Staffordshire.
