David Partridge was the son of David Partridge and Jane Hitchin.

David was born around 1878 in Wednesbury, Staffordshire.

He was christened on Tuesday 14 May 1878 at St James Church, Wednesbury, Staffordshire.

David married Ruth Bowen in 1899 in West Bromwich Registration District.

He had the following children from his marriage to Ruth Bowen:

- Millicent Partridge	born on 14 December 1899 in Wednesbury, Staffordshire.
- Ida Partridge	born on 29 September 1902 in Wednesbury, Staffordshire.
- Edward Dennis Partridge	born on 23 October 1907 in Wednesbury, Staffordshire.
- Norman Partridge	born on 22 August 1915 in Wednesbury, Staffordshire.
- Edna Ruth Partridge	born on 9 July 1919 in Wednesbury, Staffordshire.

David was a Moulder.

David died on Friday 4 November 1977 in Kogurah, New South Wales.  

David and his wife and three youngest childreen emigrated to Australia in 1927.
