James Charles Lilac Howcroft was born on Tuesday 1 January 1895 in the Pontefract Registration District.

James married Helena Jennings in 1920 in the Wakefield Registration District (Jun Quarter).

Details of James's occupation are not known.

James died when he was 74 years old, in 1969 in the Lower Agbrigg Registration District (Jun Qtr).
