Richard Green was the son of John Green and Ann Mawdsley.

Richard was born on Saturday 14 January 1882 in St Helens, Lancashire.

Richard married Annie Keogh in 1906 in the Prescot Registration District (Mar Qtr).

He had the following children from his marriage to Annie Keogh:

- Ann Frances Green	born in 1907 at St Helens, Lancashire.
- John Edward Green	born on 4 December 1909 at St Helens, Lancashire.
- Joan Green	born on 4 March 1923 at the Prescot Registration District (Jun Qtr).

Richard was a Plate Glass Labourer.
