Benjamin married Mary Elizabeth Lavender on Sunday 25 January 1880 in St James church, Lower Gornal, Worcestershire.

Benjamin died when he was 71 years old, on Saturday 17 September 1932 in Bevier, Macon, Missouri, USA.   The cause of his death was Acute Broncho Pneumonia.
