Details of a letter that she wrote on 1st January 1936 from the Brown Cow Inn in Clitheroe to her cousins Oswald Cundall and Alice Palmer (nee Cundall) in Manitoba can be found on the Documents page (see 'Documents' link above). In this letter, she corrected their misconception about Uncle Isaac being her Grandfather and informed them that her Grandfather was Thomas, noting that both Isaac and Thomas had children with the same names. Also shown on the Documents page is a Christmas card from Durham and Alice Palmer (nee Cundall) in Manitoba sent in 1942, and also one from Edna Mary Marjorie Cundall in Manitoba.
