Sylvia Maud Audrey Wright was the daughter of George Henry (Harry) Wright and Annie Sylvia Turnor.

Sylvia was born on Thursday 17 October 1912 in Edgbaston, Birmingham, Warwickshire.

She was christened on Monday 4 November 1912 at St Peter's Church, Harborne, Birmingham.

Sylvia was a Secretary to the Secretary of the Chamber of Commerce.

Sylvia died when she was 90 years old, on Saturday 30 November 2002 in Dudley Road Hospital, Birmingham.  

Sylvia died at 2:15 am.

She was cremated at Lodge Hill Crematorium on Friday 6 December 2002.

She was buried on Thursday 12 December 2002 in St Peter's Church, Harborne, Birmingham.

Sylvia was educated at Kings Edwards VI High School for Girls.

Sylvia as a young girl travelled Europe with her parents on the Thomas Cook Tours and languages became one of her great assets.
