James Lavender was the son of George Lavender and Sarah Cadnam.

James was born around 1826 in Womborne, Shropshire.

He was christened on Sunday 13 May 1827 at Coal Pit Bank Wesleyan Church, Wombridge, Shropshire.

James married Emma Cookson in 1861 in Madeley, Shropshire.

He had the following children from his marriage to Emma Cookson:

James was an Iron Miner.

James died when he was 62 years old, in 1889 in Madeley, Shropshire.
