Thomas Greenhough was the son of John Greenhough and Mary Farmer.

Thomas was born around 1768.

He was christened on Sunday 7 August 1768 at Alrewas, Staffordshire.

Thomas married Elizabeth Cross on Wednesday 24 September 1794 in Kings Bromley, Staffordshire.

He had the following children from his marriage to Elizabeth Cross:

- Richard Greenhough	born around 1795.
- Francis Greenhough	born around 1798.
- Mary Ann Greenhough	born around 1803.
- Anne Greenhough	born around 1806.
- Ann Greenhough	born around 1810.

Details of Thomas's occupation are not known.

Thomas died when he was about 80 years old, on Saturday 22 January 1848 in Lichfield, Staffordshire.
