William Armitstead Breaks was the son of Richard Breaks and Jane Armitstead.

William was born on Wednesday 13 February 1907 in Aysgarth, Yorkshire.

William married Mary Jane Wooff in 1935 in the Clitheroe Registration District (Dec. quarter).

He had the following children from his marriage to Mary Jane Wooff:

- Rose Mary Jane Breaks	born in 1937 at the Lancaster Registration District (Sep quarter).
- Phyllis Hellen Breaks	born in 1939 at the Lancaster Registration District (Mar quarter).
- Christine Alice Breaks	born in 1945 at the Clitheroe Registration District (Jun quarter).

Details of William's occupation are not known.

William died when he was 94 years old, in 2002 in the Fleetwood & Fylde Registration District (Jan).
