Ada Lavender was the daughter of Thomas James Lavender and Emma Elizabeth Spittle Stevens.

Ada was born on Monday 20 June 1881 in Wednesbury, Staffordshire.

Ada married John Thomas Sharrock on Thursday 26 July 1906.

She had the following children from her marriage to John Thomas Sharrock:

- John Thomas (Jack) Sharrock	born on 29 August 1907.
- Bernard Sharrock	born on 1 May 1913.
- Joan Lavender Sharrock	born on 22 May 1917.

Ada's second marriage was to Charles H. Pym on Thursday 19 September 1940.

Ada was a Grocer.

Ada died when she was 77 years old, on Friday 20 February 1959.  

From the early 1920s until around 1940 she owned and ran a Grocery Shop in Brunswick Park Road in Wednesbury, which was next door to the Greenhough's Bakery.

After she married in 1940, the shop was run by her sister Emma (Em).
