Roger Partridge was the son of Joseph Partridge and Phoebe Jane Parkinson.

Roger was born around 1842 in Wednesbury, Staffordshire.

He was christened on Sunday 16 October 1842 at St Bartholomew's Church, Wednesbury, Staffordshire.

Roger married Fanny Jinks in 1881 in West Bromwich Registration District.

He had the following children from his marriage to Fanny Jinks:

- Sydney J. Partridge	born around 1883 in Wednesbury, Staffordshire.
- Hilda Mary Partridge	born in 1883 in Wednesbury, Staffordshire.
- Fanny Elizabeth Partridge	born in 1884 in Wednesbury, Staffordshire.
- Roger William Partridge	born around 1889 in Wednesbury, Staffordshire.

Roger was a Railway Axle Tree Turner.
